What Our Staff Have To Say

Olivia

Apprentice

I started working at Rothley Park Kindergarten two days a week to fit in with my Level 3 Travel and Tourism course. However, 8 months later as I moved towards finishing my course, I realised how much I enjoyed working with the Qualified Early Years Educators and children and decided to work full-time at Rothley Park Kindergarten.

All the Early Years Educators and management team have supported me with all aspects of childcare and I have now been given an opportunity by Narinder to complete my Level 3 Childcare training within the nursery. I know I will be taught only by the best, with the highest standard of care given to all the children. The nursery has given me a fantastic opportunity with incredible prospects for my future career and I cannot wait to become a full-time member at Rothley Park Kindergarten.

Charlotte

Apprentice

I am an apprentice currently working at Rothley Park Kindergarten. This nursery has given me a variety of opportunities as a young person. I work with a range of ages and I help support children in their early stages of development.

Unlike college I receive above minimum apprenticeship wage whilst at the same time working towards gaining my level 3 qualification in childcare. This contributes significantly to my huge level of motivation and determination. I am grateful for the nursery’s guidance and support as I begin my apprenticeship. Rothley Park Kindergarten takes pride in its staff, and really invests in its future Early Years Educators.

Jess

Apprentice

I originally I trained in Portugal as a nursery assistant. Unfortunately, I found that my qualification was not valid in United Kingdom upon my return. Despite my six years of experience, I had to work as a volunteer before being offered an apprenticeship. Training was difficult and I was very disheartened and felt undervalued.

Thankfully, Rothley Park Kindergarten offered me an opportunity to complete my training course. I am very grateful for their continued support; all the Early Years Educators have made me feel so welcome. I am now in a great position where I am fully supported in all areas of my development and have the opportunity to undertake further training courses to enhance my knowledge and skills.

George

Deputy Officer in Charge

After attending a few interviews at various local nurseries, I knew Rothley Park Kindergarten was the one for me. I was able to work full time as a nursery nurse assistant whilst I completed my level 3 training, and after two years of completing my training I was the promoted to a deputy officer.

Throughout my time working and training at Rothley Park Kindergarten, I was very well supported by everyone at the nursery, including by my manager and the deputies. I feel this was the best decision I have ever made, I feel part of a great team and proud to work at an outstanding nursery. I love my job!

Bhakti

Early Years Educator

I have been qualified as a level 3 Early Years Educator for 6 years. I first became interested working with children from the age of 16 and worked at two previous nurseries before joining Rothley Park Kindergarten.

At Rothley Park Kindergarten I have developed and gained a better understanding of how to help young children reach their full potential. The nursery continues to offer on-going additional training courses, which have helped me acquire more knowledge and understanding of the aspects of each child’s development. The continuing support received by the management team has also been wonderful.

Abbie

Apprentice

I have worked at Rothley Park Kindergarten for just over two years. During this time I have qualified as an Early Years Childcare Level 2 and Level 3 practitioner.

Having no previous experience in an early years setting, I was fully supported by my course tutor and other nursery practitioners. I chose to make a complete career change to follow my passion for working with children and Rothley Park Kindergarten has given me the chance to do this – thank you, Narinder.

Beth

Early Years Educator

I started my childcare career at Rothley Park Kindergarten in August 2015 after completing my Level 3 in Health & Social Care qualification at college. Rothley Park Kindergarten gave me the opportunity to complete and achieve a Level 3 Childcare qualification whilst working within the setting, which was a great and very manageable way to achieve the qualification. I was supported my tutor, the management team and my colleagues.

I have also been given the opportunity to complete numerous other courses whilst at Rothley Park Kindergarten such as Paediatric First Aid, Prevent Duty, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and many more. I am now working towards a Foundation Degree in the Early Years and Young People to help me progress further within the childcare sector.

Lauren

Early Years Educator

I qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator in 2014. I joined Rothley Park Kindergarten March 2018, and since starting I feel a spring has been brought back into my step.

All the Early Years Educators work closely together, supporting each other’s interests and sharing ideas, to give all of the children opportunities, innovation and effective practices while supporting all of their development stages of learning. Due to the excellent resources offered at the nursery, I feel the children I care for receive a great impact on their development and learning. The pre-school rooms bring me much excitement as I can offer new ideas for the children to enjoy.
