Leaving Nursery In The Morning After Dropping Off Your Child

Please be aware, it has been noticed by the management that some parents are taking a shortcut down the high slippery verge when leaving the premises at the rear. We strongly advise you to use the main path to avoid any accidents, the verge is very slippery and uneven. The nursery will not accept liability for any accidents that are sustained due to not following our procedures.

Government Funding Early Education Entitlement

FEEE is available to all children the term following their third birthday, for a minimum of 38 week’s per year. This is claimed by the setting and throughout term time only. Each term can vary between 11 and 15 weeks. The funding hours will be shown on your invoice each month. Please do not hesitate to see us in the office if you have any queries regarding your child’s funding. Funding is offered only over term-time, no funding is available in August.

Dates For Your Diary

The nursery will be closing on Thursday 24th December at 2.30pm and will re-open on Monday 4th January 2021 at 8.00am.

Christmas Parties

Due to continuous safety guidance relating COVID-19, children’s parties will not be taking place as normal, however, throughout the last week before Christmas small tea parties will be held in your own child’s room.

Children In Need

Week commencing Monday 9th to Friday 13th November we are inviting the children to come into nursery dressed up to support Children in Need. We are asking for a minimum donation of £1.00 per child. The theme this year is your own choice - superhero, pajamas. However, you can dress your child in anything to recognise the day. Thank you for your co-operation.

Looking for the Perfect Christmas Presents!

2020 has been a particularly surreal year for all of us. A year where events – Covid-19, Brexit, Climate Change - have affected so many people across our planet. Our children will talk to their families about 2020 as they did when the 2nd world war ended or a time when England won the world cup! There are more changes to come this year, but I believe 2021 will be an amazing year of recovery for all of us once the vaccine is released.
This year, time has really flown by and I am sure you’ve seen huge changes in your little one’s personality and looks over the past few months and years! We hope that you as parents have successfully managed to navigate these surreal times.
The value of professionally capturing yourself and your little ones on film has perhaps been more important than ever before, and this year, instead of Sonara Studios coming to RPK to capture your little one’s nursery photographs, we would like to invite you – the parents and/or your little one/s - for a Portrait Session at one of our Loughborough or Oakham studios. We have taken many precautions to safely carry out these shoots in our studios including cleaning our studio after each client, extensive use of sanitizers, extended session times to ensure no client overlap and the observance of safe distancing.

Travel Arrangement During COVID-19

All parents are advised to inform the nursery of any of their holiday destinations abroad. On return to UK, you will be required to self-isolate for 14 days, this is requirement set by Rothley Park Kindergarten to protect all. Normal nursery charge will continue to apply during this time.

Mobile and Other Recording Devices

To ensure the safety and welfare of children in our care we operate a personal mobile phone usage policy which stipulates that personal mobile phones cannot be used by parents, visitors or staff when in the presence of children, on the premises, including the garden areas. All staff mobile phones are placed on silent or switched off and are kept in their lockers. Staff can only use their mobiles within the restricted (staffroom) area. As a reminder ‘Phone Prohibited’ signs are displayed at the entrance of both nursery and the bungalow. Signs are also on display outside the children's rooms. Our main priority is the safety of your child and we thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
